If you’re new to the Glock 45, there are a few mistakes that are really easy to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know because I made most of them myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you’re first getting started, it\u2019s easy to get caught up in trying to do everything perfectly right away \u2014 the best setup, the best upgrades, the best approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But after spending some time actually using it, I realized a lot of those early thoughts were off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this post, I\u2019ll break down the top 3 mistakes I made with the Glock 45 as a beginner \u2014 and what I learned from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd34 Mistake #1 \u2014 Overcomplicating Everything<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When I first got the Glock 45, I immediately started thinking about upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What red dot should I get?
What parts should I change?
What\u2019s the \u201cbest\u201d setup?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was trying to build the perfect setup before I even got comfortable with the basics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back, that was a mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t need to have everything figured out right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important thing early on is keeping things simple and learning how the gun actually feels and performs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you build that foundation, everything else becomes easier to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was something I didn\u2019t expect at first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn\u2019t realize how much grip actually matters \u2014 especially as a beginner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I started spending more time at the range, I noticed that my hands would get a little sweaty, and under recoil, the gun didn\u2019t feel as stable as I wanted it to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That lack of control affects everything \u2014 accuracy, confidence, and overall comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once I addressed it by improving my grip setup, it made a noticeable difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a small detail, but it has a big impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is probably the biggest mistake I made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, I thought upgrades were the key to getting better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red dots, triggers, accessories \u2014 I assumed those would make the biggest difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And while upgrades can help, they\u2019re not the most important factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest improvement came from actually spending time using the gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practicing. Getting comfortable. Building consistency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s what really moves the needle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some time, I did start adding a few upgrades:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
