I’m 29 years old, and I’m just getting started.
I haven’t bought my first firearm yet—but I’m about to. And instead of pretending to know everything, I decided to document the entire process from the very beginning.
This site is my journey from that first purchase to becoming someone who is confident, capable, and experienced with a wide range of firearms.
One thing I noticed right away is that most of the content out there comes from people who have been doing this for years. They have thousands of dollars in gear, years of experience, and a level of familiarity that just isn’t relatable when you’re starting from zero.
And that’s where I think this can be different.
I’m coming into this with no background, no bias, and no experience—just trying to figure it out the same way a lot of people are. That means I can share what it actually feels like to start from scratch, what questions come up, and what really matters when you don’t already know everything.
I’m sharing what I learn as I go—my research, my decisions, my mistakes, and what actually works in the real world. No pretending to be an expert. Just real progress over time.
Along the way, I also want to explore more than just the basics. That includes the history of firearms, how they’ve evolved, and what makes different platforms unique.
This is about growth.
From first shot to mastery.
If you’re just starting out like I am, or even if you’re further along, I hope you can follow along and get something from it.
